Where is Atma Villas and how do I get there from Medellín?
From Medellín it takes about 1.5 hours by car on the Medellín–Bogotá highway to the El Peñol and Guatapé turnoff. You leave your car at Marina Navegar on the Peñol–Guatapé road and our boat brings you to Atma. Departures from the marina at 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm; return from Atma at 12:00 noon, 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm. Arriving outside those hours? Message us on WhatsApp to arrange it.
What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 3:00 pm and check-out by 12:00 noon. Late check-out is subject to availability with a 30% surcharge.
What does the villa rate include?
Every villa includes à la carte breakfast, a welcome amenity, the boat transfer from Marina Navegar, use of the dock and common areas, and weekday morning wellness activities (yoga, sound healing, meditation and stretching, per the hotel's schedule). Most villas also include 30 minutes of kayaking or aqua biking.
What is the cancellation policy?
The rate is non-refundable. Date changes are allowed with at least 72 hours' notice, subject to availability and possible additional charges. No-shows and early departures are non-refundable. Promotional rates cannot be refunded or changed.
How do I pay and in which currency?
You can book online with an international credit or debit card through Stripe, or with PSE, Nequi and cards issued in Colombia through Placetopay by Evertec. Prices are shown in Colombian pesos, US dollars or euros depending on your country, and you can switch currency in the menu; Placetopay payments are charged in pesos. You receive the confirmation by email as soon as the payment is approved.
What is Placetopay and what happens to my payment details?
Placetopay is Evertec's PCI DSS certified payment gateway, which we use for PSE (debit from your Colombian savings or checking account), Nequi and credit or debit cards issued in Colombia. When you pay we take you to Placetopay's secure page to enter your payment details; we never see or store your card or account data. When you finish you return to atmavillas.com with the result and a payment reference. If a PSE payment stays pending, the bank confirms it within minutes and we email you; there is no need to pay again. If the payment is declined nothing is charged. For any question about a payment, write to us with the reference shown on the confirmation page.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, we are pet friendly. The fee is COP 150,000 per pet per night and includes a bed for your pet.
How much do children and extra guests pay?
Children aged 0 to 3 stay free. Ages 4 to 11 are COP 100,000 per night and ages 12 and over COP 150,000 per night, always within the villa's maximum capacity.
Which villas are reached by car and which by boat?
Four villas are reached by road in your own or a rented vehicle rather than by boat: Bamboo Palace Banana, Eco Villa Banana, Safari Supreme Banana and Totem House. All other villas are reached by our boat from Marina Navegar.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
Outside food and drinks are not allowed. Atma has a restaurant with Colombian and Mexican cuisine, a cocktail menu and à la carte breakfast included with your villa.
Is there wifi in the villas?
Yes, every villa has wifi. They also have a private jacuzzi, an espresso machine, bathrobes and towels.
What documents do I need at check-in?
At check-in you must present valid physical ID for the lead guest and every companion. Minors travelling without their parents need a signed, notarised authorisation.
